STARLIGHT CITY
Get ready for those flashing lights! Unofficially known as "Party City", Starlight is a unfinished System city. Striking a deal with System officials, Puzzle Slaughter, the sort of mayor for the city, has decided to mix the crazy of the Wastelands with a bit of the System life. The Slaughter family didn't always run things though. Starlight City used to be managed and led by Jung-So Cho, the leader of the Feather Family at the time. However, after Puzzle killed him several years ago — along with other members of the flock — the Slaughter Family officially took control of the city. Since then, the Feather Family has been relegated to the Raven District on the edge of Starlight.
Unlike most finished cities, Starlight is missing it's weather drones and technology that helps cites have better living conditions. Thick smog surrounds Starlight, and residents can be seen wearing masks or other forms of protection against it. It also makes the area look dark, as if it’s always night. Bright billboards and the flashing lights of the casinos and clubs replace the sun.
The smoke seems to be coming from factories just beyond the city.
Lots of individuals from all over travel to this party city in hopes to win it big. Known for its entertainment, Starlight provides fun through a variety of clubs, casinos and hotels. They're all run by Slaughter, or at least groups connected back to the family. Starlight is the place to blow your cash and to find yourself in the process! With a flamboyant queer scene, you can find community in the strangest places.
Don't let all the glitz and glamor fool you though, this city could devour you if you're not careful. Violence is a common thing around the streets of Starlight, it's basically the way of life. That's just one aspect of the Wastelands that Slaughter kept. Drug abuse and homelessness is a big problem as well, with lots of people losing everything to either or.
