Everyone has to make a living.
For Sinn, his way to get cash was by working as what many would label a "hitman" for his boss. His job wasn't technically a respectable profession, but he never really cared about what was respectable and what wasn't. Ever since the current world government, The System, rose to power after the nuclear war, no one really cared about how they got by. The basics of living stems from making money, and because of that fact, everyone would do just about anything for some cash. Sinn just so happened to take to killing.
